About ME.

 

Hi, I’m Anadi—home cook, recipe developer, and the voice behind Cooking with Anadi. I’ve been in love with food and cooking since I was 10 years old, growing up in India. My early experiments started with making omelettes, North Indian poha and pizzas using store-bought pizza base, but even back then, I loved the creativity and joy of putting a meal together.

When I moved to Canada, I missed the comforting taste of home—especially butter chicken. One of the first real meals I cooked from scratch was butter chicken in my dorm. I shared it with my floormates, and a little later, with someone who would become incredibly important—my now wife, who was just a friend back then. That dish marked the beginning of my serious cooking journey.

Between 2016 and 2020, I worked in professional kitchens across Ottawa. I spent three of those years specializing in sushi, where I sharpened my skills, learned the discipline of high-paced restaurant life, and developed an eye for detail and presentation.

Today, I bring all that experience to Cooking with Anadi—a space where I share Indian recipes, creative fusion dishes, air fryer experiments, and everyday meals packed with flavor. My goal? To help you get excited and confident in your own kitchen and create amazing food.

  • My favorite comfort food? Puri Sabji, hands down.

  • I live in Ottawa with my wife and our adorable French Bulldog, who often sneaks into the kitchen hoping for a taste.
